Do you think Creed has actualy ever killed anyone himself or does he just get kell to yell at his men to do it, Creed seems a bit softy to me compared to those such as Straken and Yarrick.
What do you think, is Creed a Softy??

He started in the Whiteshields... after being found in the burned and smoking ruins of a fortress.

Considering Creed worked his way up the ranks from being a foundling orphan in a Whiteshield Platoon before he ever met Kell, yes.
He's definitely killed people beforehand.

He is Guardsman... he have balls of steel....
On the serious side, he led his man in battle directly from the front + he served as Whiteshield and Guardsman for decades + he was found wit his family and friends all dead by Chaos hands all around him...
And you call him Softy? He is more manly then Manly Marines.
And just because you can be an officer today only by finishing college, without hour of real combat, doesn't mean that Imperium is doing the same thing. Or that you can be a general without first serving as Guardsman.

The Emperor doesn't have a GKs unshakable faith in the Emperor which is....basically himself?

Actually, that should be pretty common in 40k. Just like with the Imperial Navy, the Guard's officer corps is formed mainly from Imperial Nobility and Schola Progenium graduates (who are placed in this position upon joining), and does not commonly fight at the front. I would presume that those of noble birth accompany "their" Guard regiment since its creation, as they would have held their positions already when the unit was still part of the PDF - whereas Schola graduates would mainly serve as replacements or in the administration of the sector/subsector, since the Ecclesiarchy/Munitorum have no part in the creation of PDF formations.
As with all Imperial Guard regiments and owing to local culture of their planet of origin, there's likely a degree of variation to be found in how their officers get promoted, but given that the Imperium is a feudal regime and the vast majority of its planets are governed by a caste of noble lords, I'd say that it is not too unlikely that a look to the armies of the European 17th/18th century might serve as inspiration.
I'd say Cadia is one of those exceptions due to the Gateway World's status as mankind's most important frontier bastion against Chaos, which - quite ironically - also results in a greater degree of equality amongst its populace (everyone serves, soldiers get promoted through the ranks, etc).
