Ok about 10 minutes ago I was in a game where I assualted a rhino with my grey hunters with a powerfist my guys at intiative 4 immobilized the tank and as my powerfist swings at I1 and its immobilized I said I autohit with my powerfist. He says I don't autohit as it wasn't immobilized in the shooting phase I've seen ork players do this for their nobs all the time but I cant find where I would quote this to my opponent this time he let it slide but asked me to check it so thats why I posted it here.

The second situation is after my powerfist didnt wreak the rhino with his attacks he moves 3 more behind it and starts shooting at my guys in base to base with his rhino I say he cant see (its on vasssel so harder to tell) as my guys are shorter then a rhino(again its on vassel he said there not will double check when its not midnight.) So he tried shooting the psycannons I thought you measured los from the hatch so embarked guys cant shoot over another rhino unless the target is taller. neither of us was really sure about this as I can onyl see the rule book saying it uses the firepoint to measure distance id assume same was true for los.

Quick summery of two questions:

1. If a tank is immobilized at a higher inatiative do the lower inative guys auto hit?

2. where is los measrued from for embarked passangers?

any help I can get the better as we have to finish up our game tomarrow and would like to have this link with the answers.

The hatch, its easier to see on a gameboard but if you have guys right next to the tank they cant see it.

Just going to add a page reference to #1(#2 must be proved on the tabletop by getting down to eye-level): Page 63: the little chart Says "is Immobilized" not "was", nor "previously", "who strikes first" on page 36 tells us that Initiative order is sequential, and higher I attacks can/will effect availability of lower I attacks(by killing the models with the lower I value). FAQ has this to say:

Q: If a vehicle moved during its last Movement phase,
but is immobilised by the time a models initiative value
is reached in close combat, what roll is needed to hit it?

A: It will be hit automatically.

1. Yes, definitely.
2. From the hatch; so guys shooting out of a Rhino will not be able to see guys hiding behind another Rhino on the other side of it.
