Hey everyone, I have seen the new Forge World Contemptor Pattern Dred and decided that I wanted one for my BA successor. The problem is that I want to mount it in a drop pod and it seems that it is too tall to fit.

As you can see, the 40k dred only just fits into the drop pod. My question is does anyone have any ideas, inspiration or tutorials relating to the converison of a drop pod to accomidate the relative height of the pre heresy dred? This issue will very likely come up as the dred is released and more players buy it.

Hey thanks for the help! I do want to fit the dred inside the pod for the simple reason of looking good. Maybe I could convert a GW pod in a similar way to this tutorial that I found on the web while using plasticard to make the pod taller? http://themagnetpro.blogspot.com/2010/02/dreadnought-drop-pod-conversion.html

@SonicPara: I really like that idea... The dreadclaw also looks as if it is wide enough to accomidate a dred...

@Catyrpelius: A successor chapter may have inherited a portion of the original legion's wargear and relics if they are nearer to second founding. This would justify a successor having a pre heresy dreadnought, and FW also painted their Contemptor Dred as an Astral Claw, so a successor owning suhc a relic would be extremely rare, but not impossible. Perhaps they were common enough for perhaps the first two millenia after the second founding that the original chapters would give them to their successors.

@Catyrpelius, Zefig, Lord of Rebirth: That is a really great idea... Maybe sort of like the position Arnold teleports in the Terminator movies...
