This will be my WIP Blog for my Red Hunters army, based on the Blood Angels Codex. The Red Hunters Chapter is assigned to support roles for the Inquisition and much of it's background is a mystery. My 5th Company will act as the burning blade of Inquisitor BladeWalker's forces. The symbol of the Red Hunters is a Skull with a "I" on it so I chose to use the Silver Skulls pads to make the Chapter symbol really pop. I am purposely using as many metals as I can for the army. Here is all the assembly I have done so far (still lots of clean up and green stuffing to do before priming):

I have the 99% done "Order of the Sword" Paladins, need better pictures but these guys got me 2nd place in a Painting Competition so I was very pleased. I just need to add snow and ice to the bases and they are 100% done.

After a long delay I am performing ancient threadromancy on this Blog since I am now back on this project. I have actually finished painting all the Grey Knights and am now starting in full speed with my Red Hunters alongside a few commissions I am working on. Here are a few pics to get this thing rolling again. I will take more pics of the models that are now completed from earlier in this thread very soon. Go go paint!

Ok, back to painting! I'm hoping after many years of painting for my own enjoyment that I will finally be able to "breakthrough" and do some nicer pieces and singles. After this army and some Chaos add ons this Fall I will be doing strictly commission modelling/painting and singles models to try and get better. First is to acquire new brushes and other tools, but it is a poor craftsman who blames his tools. I take a very blue collar, journeyman approach to painting but hopefully some feedback and patience on my part will refine that a bit over the next year. Thanks!

(I really will update regularly now until this army is done, there are also some surprise new units coming up with the same type of mixed kit conversions my Sanguinary Guard have.)

Wow. Very nice start!

The best part is that with Allies in 6th now I can use them all together in different combos... that is what spawned my Interceptor conversions and I can't wait to try them out! I won't field them until they are painted so they can have max luck on the battlefield.

Another Inquisitor that I just wanted to paint, shows how I start... I base coat and then wash, then I go about the real painting. This guy is just based and washed.
