So after reading stuff about how much personality that Machine Spirits have I've decided to name and write up a back story for my two LRR and SR (Molded as Valks since I'm doing a radical Inquisition force.) and I plan to paint the name on the side of the vehicle.
So Dakka which of these names sounds the coolest and do you have any suggestions?
Thanks!

I believe that means "unbreakable" in Latin =D imo i think that sounds like a perfect name for a LR/machine spirit

You are not free whose liberty is won by the rigour of other, more righteous souls. Your are merely protected. Your freedom is parasitic, you suck the honourable man dry and offer nothing in return. You who have enjoyed freedom, who have done nothing to earn it, your time has come. This time you will stand alone and fight for yourselves. Now you will pay for your freedom in the currency of honest toil and human blood.

I added a couple more, but I'm so down for "sets" such as the Four Horsemen.
Just thought would having the Chaos Gods names spelled backwards be offensive to them?

Probably best to spell them right...
I can't say for sure but i will bet that a machine spirit at least has spellcheck...
I like the idea of the 4 horsemen... but do it in latin because otherwise it is too easy to spot.

Bellum = War
Halosis = Conquest
Fames = Famine
Mors = Death

Sounds pretty sweet, though all I did was use some Google translate and may of them had many different translations so I picked some good ones.
Also what did I misspell?

I vote for the Four Riders of the Apocalypse.
If you want some more choices for them, I'd use Occupatio, Expugnatio or Subiugatio as conquest (Halosis could be ok, but it's greek, not latin. The only Roman writer to use it is Petronius, AFAIK, known for his wide use of grecisms); Annona and Inopia as well for Famine, while for death you could use also Interitus, Nex (which means, specifically, a violent death) or Exitium (mainly used for the death of a tragedy character). If you want to read Death as Plague (as some do with the fourth rider) you also have Pestilentia or Pestis.

What is the Fear of Death? That we die, our work incomplete. What is the Joy of Life? To die, knowing our task is done

Since when is Conquest one of the Four Horsemen? I've always heard Pestilence rather than Conquest. Darius Hellstromme is going to be mighty pissed you guys are trying to fire him...

Also, I kind of always thought that they name of the Machine Spirit is the same as the name of the vehicle. In which case, what army do you play? Because what's right for, say, the Space Wolves wouldn't be as cool for, I don't know, the Salamanders.

I was just checking Wikipedia "Although some interpretations differ, the four riders are commonly seen as symbolizing Conquest,[1] War,[2] Famine[3] and Death, respectively."
And Death is the only named horsemen.

And I'm going to have the name of the vehicle be the same as the Machine Spirit, and I'm playing a Radical Inquisition force.

@LastCameTheRaven sweet thanks a lot, I just used Google translate so I figured it wasn't the best tool.

Huh. Just looked it up. Interesting.

In that case, I suggest you totally abandon any loyalty to Scripture here and go for the pop culture reference so you don't have to answer the same stupid question every time. Go with War, Famine, Pestilence, and Death.

Thanks Hido!
