500pt Grey Knight army for an upcoming planetary empires campaign. Will be playing around 5 other players, have no idea what armies/units they'll be taking. The first battle only needs 1 HQ and 1 Troop choice, the rest of the points can be spent in any category (subsequent battles will increase in size/points). Any suggestions/comments welcome since this'll be my first battle at the helm of grey knights (or any marines for that matter).

HQ:
Coteaz 100pts

Troops:
Terminators 225pts
Justicar w/ Halberd + SB
1 x psycannon + Halberd
2 x Sword + SB
1 x Demon Hammer + SB


Elites:
Purifiers 174pts
knight of the flame
2 x halberds + SB
1 x incinerator
1 x psycanon.
Dedicated Transport: Rhino.

Total: 499pts

I know the psycannon in the purifier squad seems a little out of place, but I was worried about only having 1 ranged AT weapon.

In terms of units i actually have and could field instead the options are; upto another 5 terminators/paladins, libraian, crowe, dreadknight, vindicare assassin, and i could probably make up some warrior accoyltes with bolt guns (was thinking of fielding a few for a low points cost unit to sit on objectives or be a meatshield). Or not eating next week in exchange for buying another shinny packet of knights.

The range of the psycannon is still only 24", and they're in a Rhino anyway. I would trade for a hammer and additional halberd.

And look at some other inquistor options. Servo skulls to get your termies in place wouldn't be a bad idea, leaving your purifiers in reserve as well if possible. Corteaz isn't bad, but there might be better options to strengthen the army.

At 500 points I run a mini purifier spam list looking like:

Crowe

6 Purifiers w/ 2 psycannons, halberd, demon hammer, 2 swords In Rhino

Psyfleman dread w/ psybolt ammo.

This list comes out to about 500 points. It's also a list most forces have had a hell of a hard time fighting - A relatively large amount of armor in such a small point value. Plus 4 Str 8 shots, 4 Str 7 shots every turn is a lot of heat. I usually dismount the purifiers and mount crowe in the rhino then drive him up the field. It works well for me.

Defenitely gunna drop the purifier psycannon then. Probably won't be able to include a Psyfleman in time but will have to pick up one (atleast!) up for the higher point battles in the coming weeks.

Actually it is since Crowe makes purifiers troop choices - and at 500 points you only need 1 HQ and 1 troop choice.

low point GK are cool actually, since you can get a bargain on your hq choice, narrowing the gap for the rest.

10xStrike Squad with 2xPsycannon in Rhino - 260

4 mobile psycannons is pretty damn strong for 500 points.
