Say lysander is in a DP w/ sternguard w/ combi weapons would they get the reroll due to bolter drill or not IOM they should as in C:SM it says "A SM armed w/ a combi weapon an choose to fire the bolter or the secondary weapon with the profile found elsewhere in this section. The bolter can be fired every turn but the secondary weapon once per battle." essentially the secondary weapon replaces the bolter PROFILE

Seeing as Combi weapons are bolters, and bolters are listed under bolter drill, it seems you can re-roll to hit with the bolter.

However if you are firing the attached one shot weapon you would not get a re-roll because at that point you are not firing the bolter and instead firing a meltagun/plasmagun/flamer.

While firing the bolter they get the reroll. While firing the meltagun (one shot) they cannot.

The Combi portion does not replace the boltgun's profile; it is a single shot whatever. You even have it quoted in your post:"can choose to fire the bolter or the secondary weapon" that specifies fire one or the other, if you are firing the other(and the profile for said other is found elsewhere in the codex), then you are not firing the Bolter.

Now since this question does involve sternguard; Special Issue Ammunition is the boltgun Firing, and does "just replace the Boltgun's normal profile".
