I am entering a kill team tournament and not 100% sure if I am going to be using this list, but so far I like it. This is Battle Missions Kill team rules.
Tactical Squad
1- Plasma Gun
1- Plasma Cannon
7 - Bolters
Sgt. - Plasma Pistol
Why so much Plasma? Well I am expecting Necrons, Grey Knights and other Space Marines. I am also expecting plenty of terrain so I am looking to force as many cover saves as possible. I worry about poor scatter rolls with the Plasma Cannon so I might look into a different Heavy Weapon, we'll see. What do you guys think?

Seems like fun. I like it. And you should obviously get a Deathwatch Conversion kit and paint them appropriately.

I'd recommend giving "Relentless" to your Plasma Cannon guy, "Furious Charge" to your Sargent, and maybe "Fleet" or "Feel No Pain" to your plasma gun dude.

I would do Slow and purposeful on the Plasma Cannon, Relentless on the Plasmagun, and FNP on the SGT.

Only problem I see with plasma is the chance to hurt yourself. In big games you just lose the special weapon, in kill teams it counts as so much more since you are helping him win the mission with each death. Low chance, but if you get unlucky, it could spell your doom. Would hate to lose the last game of a tournament due to killing off three of my own models...
Also i don't see the point in the plasma cannon. I've found blast weapons don't work that well in kill team because the models don't have to be within 2" of each other. So you can get lucky with a scatter, or it could miss by an inch every shot. And scatter doesn't work well with multiple leveled terrain, so thats another strike against it. Not sure what I would replace it with, maybe just a ML and use the points elsewhere.
Otherwise it has a nice amount of bodies, in power armor. And high str shots for that ass who will bring a dread.
This the one at the game room? I'll see you there. I'm not playing though, I didn't respond in time to grab a spot.
