First off, I should know this. But im not entirly sure, and i dont own a copy of the rule book.
I have strong intensions on getting one soon though.

An IG heavy weapons squad (3 heavy wepons teams/ 3 hb or lc or ac or ml)
is inside of a chimera.

The chimera moves 6", can i shoot the heavy weapons?
Say it moves 12"?
16"?

Im sure this is a simple aanswer. Call me stupid for not knowing after plying for 2 years. I only have one chimera, working on getting 2-3 more. so its hardly used w/ heavy weapons of any kind inside.

Read the transport section and it will help with these questions. If you move a transport it's just like if the squad moved. Would the heavy weapons squad be able to fire if it moved outside the tank? No? That's your answer. You could stand still and fire but not move and fire (in or out of a chimera). The speed of the tank does have soem ebaring on firing though. If you move over 6" you can't fire any guns assault, rapid fire or whatever even if said vehicle was open topped. Strangely if you dismount you can shoot.

York/London(for weekends) oh for the glory of the british rail industry

You would only be able to fire non-lasgun weapons in a chimera if it has a hatch fire point, i thought that a chimera's fire points were for lasguns only (going on the last codex).

Relictors: 1500pts

its safe to say that relictors are the greatest army a man , nay human can own.

The chimera has no lasguns anymore. It's simply 5 firepoints now.

OK, so moving= no shooting from heavy weapons
--- this, i get and understand
moving at all= no shooting from lasguns? How?

Moving= no shooting out of hatch at all?? Since when?

#1 this should be in YMTC

#2: the forums are not a replacement for the rule book.

#3: Your answer is on Page 66 of the BRB under the Fire points section.

And you can usually get one of the small ones (which is the same as the big one as far as rules are concerned, right down to the page numbers) for $15 or so.

Thats what I want to do. I didnt have service to call my friend with the book. I just bought an expensive case for my army, and im saving for a computor, and 3 xbox games. Rulebook is next on my list....but unfortunatly a great distance of time away.

Im not looking to get all my answers here, just have a game coming up, was forging a list or possible list and wanted to make sure it was legit. Thank you for the help though, i will look at brb to clerify when i see my friend next.

If the transport moves, you count the passengers as moving. You can look up what that means in terms of various weapon types and shooting.

Also, you at least own an IG codex to know how many firing points the chimera has?

I'd put the rulebook ahead of the xbox games (or at least one of them) as you can't play without the rules and your opponent shouldn't have to play anyone who doesn't bring a rulebook.

Rulebook up, and get as confused by the layout and rules interaction as the rest of us

The Viletide: Daemons of Nurgle/Deathguard: 7400 pts
Disclples of the Dragon - Ad Mech - about 2000 pts
GSC - about 2000 Pts
Rhulic Mercs - um...many...
Circle Oroboros - 300 Pts or so
Menoth - 300+ pts

Agree with Ascalam. A rulebook is higher priority than ONE of those video games.

Well see. No job= lower income. Two of my friends have a mini rulebook and if i go anywhere its always with one of them. So not as much of an issue.

Please understand I was in the northn woods of michigan when i posted this. I had no cell service and they dont have a facebook or any means of contact via internet. I was drafting a list and wanted to make sure i had my facts straight.

No job = lower income = no need to buy more computer games

I really would recommend getitng a mini-rulebook, just for simplicity's sake. They aren't expensive.

The models on the other hand... :(
