You could pin it, glue the pin in on one side only, and then just swap out the piece with the hole. Long term, these holes will widen on you and pieces won't stick together completely tight anymore. In which case, you'll either need to fill the hole and re-drill it, or switch out for another part with a tighter hole.
There's an off-color joke in there somewhere.

Magnetics are actually very, very affordable. Check http://www.kjmagnetics.com for some prices. 1/8", 1/16", and 1/32" magnets are what I use regularly and when ordering moderate quantities (say 25-50 of each) they're not too bad.

What harm can it do to find out? It's a question that left bruises down the centuries, even more than "It can't hurt if I only take one" and "It's all right if you only do it standing up." Terry Pratchett, Making Money
"Can a magician kill a man by magic?" Lord Wellington asked Strange. Strange frowned. He seemed to dislike the question. "I suppose a magician might," he admitted, "but a gentleman never could." Susanna Clarke Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell

If you want cheaper, you might try http://www.themanufactorum.com/. It's run by our very own BloodQuest, and he's doing some really cool things with magnet kits designed to fit specific models. His site says that he ships just about anywhere for $3. I'm not sure if that includes international, but you should PM him and ask. I really gotta say, given the choice between the two, magnets would be superior to pinning every time.

If you live in Europe I recommend THIS seller on ebay, and those are good sized magnets too (not too big, but big enough to give a good strong bond). By my reckoning those magnets + postage to the Netherlands should be less than £6.

Hmm, those are N38s. If they work for you, great, but I'd recommend N40s or N50s.

I can second this recommendation. Been using this seller's magnets for some time, to great effect.

They do sell this stuff which adds iron filings to your paint. The point is, you only need one magnet and can magnetize small bitz or bitz not conducive to holding the other magnet.
Alternatively, you can take a big magnet and a kid's sandbox and procure the iron filings yourself and experiment with the right amount to add to the paint.

Yeah sorry. I spoke to the seller and asked why, this is what they told me...
We took the decision for purely business reasons. We were losing approximately 32% of all the items we posted to Netherlands by standard airmail but only 2% of the items sent by International Signed For.
eBay does not permit us to specifically require buyers to pay for the International Signed For service and as a result, we were faced with either a) paying to upgrade the postage causing a loss on every single sale to the Netherlands or b) sending goods by standard airmail and then having to re-send or refund which, as a business we could no longer support.
We hope you will appreciate that this is entirely business based and is not in any way personal.
We can, ship orders from our own webiste to the Netherlands because we require the customer to purchase the international signed for or courier P&P upgrade.
Kind regards

So there you have it, that probably helps explain why other shops are so expensive to the Netherlands too. You can still buy the magnets from http://www.guysmagnets.com but you have to pay for upgrading shipping which I'm guessing would put the total cost up to around £9-10. But you'd have to check that out yourself to be certain.
