Ok, so this will be my last revision of this army before I get to play with it (finally, my Valkyries came in). So the first order of business is what should I do with the CCS, Astropath or Officer of the Fleet? Which would be more useful?
Also I am not sure if I should keep the hellhound, or split up the Valkyrie squad into a single ship in each slot.
Should I throw demos on to all the vet squads or keep carapace/camo cloaks on the two plasma choices?
Furthermore with the storm trooper squad, I can’t decide which operations to choose for them? What have y’all found to be the better choice?
I was thinking that they would be more (suicide) anti-tank drop troops, and having the reroll for the scatter so they get the best chance to strike at said armor. I could always give them flamers or plasma and drop em in as building assault squads.
Or I could give my CCS and two vets a HWT and sit em in the back field with the stormies and assault vets on the move at all times…
As for additional models, I have a standard Russ, an interchangeable Autocannon/HB/Lascannon HWS available amongst other various troopers, that can be added, just not sure what would be the best use of the remaining points...
I was planning on trying to stay mobile with my force, run around, shoot, drop off troops, shoot some more etc. But my CCS would probably be in the backfield just chilling unless I bring a Valkyrie back to pick them up.
So as a green player I was hoping for one last round of tips and crits before the weekend hits.

Your list lacks focus. Plasma guns with a flamer? A single melta gun with a flamer? Not to mention 145 points for an av12....Cut out the junk. Focus your units. I suggest having a maximum of one flier per fa slot. Unless the list is just for fun ofcourse..

Yea its just a fun, weekend warrior for "gaks n giggles" list XD as long as things die in horrible fiery explosions its a good day!
I was going for an air cav list, troops in the Valkyries being dropped off at objectives, burning people out of cover while still being able to hit at armor. Eventually I plan to either add a Vulture and/or another Valkyrie pair to the list
Like i said things can be swapped out I just haven't played enough to really know how many melta shots it takes to crack tank and that kinda thing. Which is why I posted it up to get some more direction as to what might be the
better options.

If it's an air-cav list I suggest you go all-out and maximize your air-cav and remove the hell hound.I prefer no HBs on the Valkyries, move 12 and shoot everything is better.
Why waste your CCS? use it and give them weapons (Melta). Even though they're not scoring they're good for tank hunting as they have BiD. You may want to use an Astropath instead of the Officer of the fleet just in case you want to outflank.
And the vets should be more focused...mixed weapons are very unreliable.
IMO do note that by using vets you are paying for the BS4 of the whole unit...and by getting flamers you waste those points. Your valkyries should be dealing with anti infantry using Rocket Pods

Keep in mind that the squadron rules mean that an immobilized valk will be destroyed. Otherwise, I have to agree that you should get rid of the hellhound if you are going for aircav.

I understand that...but just having 3 skimmers does not make not a good air-cav list sorry, maybe in hybrid but it still has to have more skimmers

I don't agree with dropping the hvy bolters on the Valk's. I've found them to great when I use them. Moving six with valk is not bad. You must use 3 valks, separate. I agree your CCS should be a melta squad, no need for cloaks. They are too small for this to really matter.
I really wish vet's could take Valks as a DT. Maybe next time around. Vets should be melta or plasma only. I used to want to run flamers, but normally it's not really that useful. Most things you will be shooting with these guys don't care about flamers anyway. Like Carnifex or Hive tyrants to enemy vehicles.
4 skimmers is cool, but hard to work well. If you put the 2 vends together then you will probably just overkill a target, but the same is said for 2 valk's together. 3 is probably enough though.

Good to know, I had the hellhound in there simply because I only have 4 valkyrie models at the moment. But I see what y'all are saying about the mixed weapons. Hopefully the guys wont mind me Proxy'n a few melta's till I can get some more blister packs.
If I drop the hellhound and move either a valk or a vendetta into another slot, I should have enough points to fit my other stormtrooper squad in. Would y'all say it would be better to have the CCS move in with the two melta vets and let the other two either foot slog it or be picked as needed? If I have the points should I bother to give the plasma squads a HW?

Well, you do need a home objective camper (2/3s of the games are objective based). Putting your CCS and 3 Vets in your 4 Valks to have them move up and be dropped off by them isn't a terrible thing. Just remember you can't disembark normally after going flat-out, but Grav Chutes make this a possible tactic, dangerous, but possible.
Taking one of your Sentries Vets and giving them a heavy Weapon to use them as a rear objective camper isn't a terrible thing. Harker in this squad makes an interesting home base unit and two heavy weapons.
I would switch the last Sentries over to Demolitions for a more uniformed list.
I do agree in ditching the Hell Hound, as it doesn't fit. Maybe get Marbro or a second Stormtrooper squad (or both).
As for the OotF... I dunno if he really fits or is worth the 30pts for your list. He is 3 melta guns after all. If you outflanked everything, I would instead take a Astropath.
Just realise your pretty light on troops for your point list, but since you don't have any more 'transports', any other unit has to either foot slog or be a defensive unit with your other defensive unit.
Good luck and have fun!

I think the Hellhound is an anomoly in this list, as would a russ.
Agree on not mixing special weapons as well.
CCS needs a ride as well. If stuck on modesl then go 3 vend/valk and stick a normal infantry platoon on the ground with the CCS. You can then also stick that HWS in.
