Right so they have put co-op in, but only local and not through xbox live. Fail much?

To quote the Channel 4 show, Peep Show: "I'm cancelling out of shame, like my subscription to White Dwarf"

It's not fail, I do like this more if I have to be sincere... at least you are going to play with a friend.

The game IMHO is much better than I could hope and for € 10 (more or less) I couldn't ask for more.

It's basically Dawn of War 2 with the possibility to control the Marine.. it's cool!

Chapter that may be selected :

Blood Ravens
Ultramarines
Blood Angels
Salamanders
Imperial Fists
White Scars (? or was it Space Wolves ? can't remember)

I loved the fact that they've kept all 1st founding chapters, besides the obvious Ravens.

Besides this you may choose one of the following class :

Librarian
Vanguard Veteran - everyone loves assault veterans with jetpacks!
Sternguard Veteran - everyone loves veteran devastators!
Techmarine (? should be)

I think that I miss one mmm

is the game fun? I downloaded Dead Nation as one of my free PS3 games, and I hated it :( it's a 2 stick kind of game too, so I'm hesitant to blow cash on a game I may end up never playing, even if it's only $10.

What? No online co-op? What's the bloody point of that. I need both!

I'm having fun with it for the only mission I've played, but it's a game that MUST be played with someone else , otherwise fun factor goes down... at least IMHO

I miss the gold ole days when multiplayer meant having 3 of your friends over playing quad screen shooters on a 21" TV and boozing away while your fragged each other.

The interweb ruined everything :(

Loved that too, but with growing up, comes the annoying problem of people moving out, so most of my friends are half a country away now.

It's great.
Really really brilliant...
The CC classes are a b*itch to play so i recomend starting with either the Techmarine or the Sternguard marine first.
Librarian is the hardest to play IMO since the shooting from a lot of units is really damaging.

I agree the melee classes can indeed be tough to play, I found in the Survival mode I didn't last long using them without backup from another player. I found the hardest class to be the Techmarine, he feels to me sort of like he's supposed to be partway between shooty and choppy, and his special power seems to have more of a "support" than instantly effective role. But, when enemies are really pouring in it's possible to charge the ability fast enough to chain several uses.

Driven away from WH40K by rules bloat and the expense of keeping up, now interested in smaller model count games and anything with nifty mechanics.

Oh I'm also stoked about the power sword for space marine. I think its a great way to tie in the games it kinda like the fable pub games in the sense that you get free stuff for the more fun of the games.

Honestly, they should've made the game more like the actual 40k. Army vs Army, not 1 or 2 marines vs a horde... to me, that's not entertaining or realistic. But then again, that's just my opinion.

Very much worth the money, I jumped in glee when i heard that it was released and had a blast playing the trial. Now i just wanna play the dang techmarine. Curse you lack of microsoft points. Though my friend got it so i high-tailed my butt over there and played for a very very long time. Though the lack of playing online still makes me mad. But gives me something to do when I don't feel like paying for live.

I thought the demo was a bit ho-hum and really hated the fact that it didn't have online coop but my people on my friends list seemed to be having fun with it so I just paid the 10 bucks... and it was definitely worth it. The levels sequentially get better and better (with one scene being the exception... stupid carnifex!!) and this arcade game has more of an enemy variety than some full $60 titles with 18 separate and distinguishable enemies (by distinguishable I mean codex entries, not red and green blobs counting as "different"). The coop is still sorely missed but the game itself is definitely fun albeit a bit short.
