I had an old diecast howitzer, too long to fit on a Basilisk chassis, but fitted a Russ after surgery, to make a Medusa siege gun. The Russ floor was the right size, but needed the "engine" moving; an open top body bodged together ( it's a field modification, after all), some vac-form tracks (Envisioncraft, via ebay), and a lick of paint. I'm claiming that fluff-wise it has variable geometry running gear, so that when firing the hull sits on the ground to absorb recoil; when moving, the body raises, the idlers move back changing the track geometry, and off it goes. Or not...
