Suppose I have Mordrak with 3 ghost knights and I also have Castellan Crowe attached to the unit. With unyielding anvil I nominate the mordrak unit to be scoring. Does the scoring ability also transfer to Crowe since he is part of the unit and attached?

Also can dreadnoughts be nominated for scoring ? ( I did do a search but only found some stuff on dreadnaught , I apologize in advance if I missed it).

I don't think Crowe is an IC.

1. The Grand Strategy rule says explicitly that you cannot target Mordrak and his Ghost Knights.

2. Crowe is not an IC and cannot join units.

3. You can however use the rule on Dreads. This is explicitly ruled this way in the FAQ http://www.games-workshop.com/MEDIA_CustomProductCatalog/m1830601a_Grey_Knights_v1_1.pdf

Thanks not sure how I missed that stuff, just getting acquainted with GK codex and should have paid Closer attention.

It's a reasonable mistake, Crowe is pretty awful and is pretty much a tax paid to get purifiers. I don't know why he is not an IC.

RaI vs RaW again...

at least to me it appears that Titan's Herald is written that Brotherhood Champions can join units. To treat Crowe differently is weird.

So, being a smartass, you could say "Crowe can now score, since he is not an IC!", but then say "Titan's Herald blablabla hey I can join the Mordrak unit"
.. but you'd probably get kicked in the testicles by your Opponent.

There's no RAI vs RAW here. He's intended not to be an IC. Titan's Herald is a rule that Brotherhood Champions (which ARE ICs) have which applies to units and for Crowe all they did was copy-paste that rule. By your logic Mephiston should also be an IC because to treat him differently from a Librarian is 'weird.'

“Do not ask me to approach the battle meekly, to creep through the shadows, or to quietly slip on my foes in the dark. I am Rogal Dorn, Imperial Fist, Space Marine, Emperor’s Champion. Let my enemies cower at my advance and tremble at the sight of me.”
