I`m planning on a conversion for my orks, i lack a proper warboss in my own opinion. I`m currently using Badrukk (converted wi pwr klaw), which i admit looks good in his boat ( 2nd ed rhino wi cheap plastic pirate boat on top essentialy :-).
But still i`m not convinced its good enuff to lead my lads deathskullz clan, the only real other choice is Big Ghaz, but my m8 has him in his ork army.

So! what to do? Now i`ve no doubt others will also do and have done this conversion already.

GK Dreadknight + suitable ork warboss model, (blackreach am guessing would be best), + sizeable orky bitz box + blender type effect = jobs a good`un deathskullz style.
(youve just got to love the orks, you really can get away with almost anything when it comes to conversions, i will need to show you all this boat one day).

Model sorted! (ish) Now, the question becomes, what do you use him as?

Again, Ghazkull is an obvious choice, but again my mate uses him and i hate seein the same character on the table more than once personally, model or profile.

So my own solution was in IA8 raid on kastorel novem. I would use this as an HQ selection(it is a Hvy Support in IA).

A mekadredd with out any apocolypse type equipment or upgrades, for those without the book, its essentially an SMironclad with 11 rear armour with 3A ws4 i2, 5++,
and a kustom force field option and a kill kannon which i would swap out for 2ndccw and also a fleet option. All in all Project Big Git (as i`ve designated it) comes to 270 points on the field with it all.

This conversion will allow me to finish off my deathskullz at about 3kpts, except for 1 thing obviously, cough(stompa)cough, it will also give me a crackn model to lead my army, looted, as is the deathskullz way.

My own group of friends dont seem to fussed about it, as it is a tad expensive points wise, not to mention happily ruining a dreadknight model, 1 does say that the models size doesnt fit the profile, if that even applies these days,
but hey its his opinion.

I would run it as a Deff Dredd or Mega Dredd. It's way to big even for ghazzy (though the artwork shows him as being about that big).


It's up to you and your opponents though. If you want to run him as warboss, and your friends are good with it, then go for it

I don't play anything non-codex myself, but i'll sometimes let people try out their non-codex stuff on me

That is a rare, but incredibly well received, conversion. I would simply play it as a deffdredd. If you want to make it a 'big dredd' you could model a big mek on its back with KFF, pay the points for both, and run them as 1 model.

Not sure this should be in YMTC, btw.

Personally I'd kit it out and use it in apoc as a mega dred but deff dred works for size wise, anything smaller is just asking for player conflict.

The HQ mekka dred is only for use in the IA8 army list, there is no provision to use it in a codex list even if you're using IA rules.

However, if you are using IA rules then use him as a regular mega dred (heavy support) and take a big mek or something as your HQ choice.

Or sorry if this has already been said. call him whatever you want and use the rules for Graz
