Simple question. A unit of bikes is in open ground. A Lash prince moves a unit of bikes across two pieces of terrain landing in the second piece of terrain, how many dangerous terrain test does that unit take?
We played it as 2 DT test per bike model but I'm not 100% convinced that it shouldn't be just one per model. what is the general consensus?

It's only ever one no matter how many times you move into, out of, or through dangerous terrain.

"'players must agree how they are going to select their armies, and if any restrictions apply to the number and type of models they can use."
This is an actual rule in the actual rulebook. Quit whining about how you can imagine someone's army touching you in a bad place and play by the actual rules.

One check when you end or begin your move in dangerous terrain.

So even if, say a unit of bikes starts their moment in one piece of difficult terrain and ends their movement in another piece of difficult terrain, its only 1 test?
I don't have my rule book in front of me but when I played this game last week I read the rules for DT tests thoroughly, I don't recall seeing where it is only need to take 1 test, am i just missing it?

Yes, it is one test. Page 14. "has entered, left or moved"
For JI it states "begins or ends"

What specifically states only one test is needed? In my game, the logic used to make the "multiple test" point was one DT test anytime the unit entered, left or moved through difficult terrain.

Well, that's certainly a very interesting house rule. You're effectively making difficult terrain mean "Suicide region for bikes." Your playgroup is free to do that, but it isn't how the rules work.
I suggest you convince your playgroup to use the proper rules. You'll find bikes to be much more effective. Automatically Appended Next Post: For the specific rule:
BGB p 14:
"Roll a D6 for every model that has entered, left or moved through one or more areas of dangerous terrain during its move."

That "has" entered. You can only "have" entered once

Nos, I think that might be debateable, but thankfully the "one or more areas" bit cleans the issue.
