The Duke allows Raiders, Ravagers and Venoms to deepstrike.

Question 1: Can you disembark and assault after deepstriking? I overheard someone that stated that the Duke allows you to do that. I know there's a wargear that you can purchase to allow you to deepstrike and it specifically forbids you to assault. Isn't there a general rule in BRB for deepstriking that forbids disembarking and assaults?

Question 2: If Vect's Dias is in the list with the Duke, can the Dias deepstrike too?

1) No. The Duke has no rule that allows you to assault after deep striking.
2) Yes, because it's treated exactly like a raider.

What about drop pods? Is it assumed that no one can't assault from drop pods (via some rule in the BRB)? Or, does the various codexes specifically forbids it?

There is no reason the various codices should forbid it since it is written in the rule book (pg. 95). There are a few units that CAN assault after deep striking though, but that is because they have a special rule allowing it.

Its in the rulebook. A unit that arrives in a DS transport count as deepstriking.
