First I was skeptical about SoM but after reading the book I'm convinced that this could be a lot of fun, and I'm already working on a finale for an ongoing scenario I'm hosting.
I've settled on some monsters that I think would look cool, or at least seem organic to my Beastmen. Amongst these is the Chaos Mammoth.
So I checked Forge World expecting something between 80-125£, and found it to be 230£ instead. I like the model but I also like eating, so I figured perhaps Mumak's the thing I'm looking for.

Chaos Mammoth:

Mumak:

I would like to know if anybody knows anything about the scale of the thing? There is no game shop near me, so I can't get a look at the model before buying it. So what do you think; would it be too big, too small, and what base size would be appropriate?

Also other alternatives (if any) would be appreciated

Thanks in advance.

I've been pondering the same concept, so as a result of this thread I did a little googlin... Here is a forum where someone did the deed. Looks cool!

I couldn't find whoever did this on Dakka, unfortunately. I'd love to see any other executions of the concept!
