I don't remember if any of them are mentioned in the Codex.I dont know about any Imperial Kults, but they seem as if they would be pretty cool. Great Boss Tuska seems to be controlled by Khorne, but is not really loyal to him. An Ork Daemon prince would be awesome. It's almost midnight while I'm writing this, so I'm probably not making much sense. Sorry. Anyway, what do you think of Imperial and Chaos Kults?

I think that some Orks will fight as mercenaries for the IoM, but that's about it.

This is old fluff. Storm boyz used to be Khorne followers, and Blood Axes would fight as mercenary forces for the Imperial Guard. So there's precedent. But I think the whole Chaos Ork thing was written out of the fluff, and the Blood Axes fighting for the Imperial Guard just kind of... forgotten.

Still mentioned as having them fight as mercenaries in the codex, but it's downplayed somewhat.
Warpheads used to be daemon-possessed wierdboys.
There used to be ork-stealer hybrids too, and Madboyz (i miss madboy behavior charts :( )...

I don't know about Imperial Kults, but back in the dark days of the 2nd Edition Black Codex, buying a unit of Blood Axe orks as allies for an Imperial Guard army was legal (but not for Space Marines).
But that's not all... once your IG army had a squad of Blood Axes, you could then take any other Ork unit (points limits permitting) and include them as allies, too. So you could have Bad Moons and Goffs in an Imperial Guard army.
Of course, you could also take Space Marine allies for your Guard at the same time, so that they could hang out with the Orks after the battle and swap dirty jokes with each other.

The Ork- IG-Marine army goes out onto the battlefield against Eldar. The Eldar take one look at the mass of boyz, rhinos and tanks and say to themselves "Yeah, we're coming out with 3rd edition so this can't happen again."

I remember Space marines being very hard to ally with anything but IG and Eldar. You couldn't even take Space marines if you had Ogruns, Ratlings or Squats in your IG army. I really don't think you could ally them with IG if you had orks eaither, but it''s been a long time since I looked at all the old fluff.

I remember the restrictions on Ogryns and Ratlings. You could have Squats because they were considered aliens at that point, despite being Human... but you couldn't take Inquisitors if you had Squats... because they were mutants...
But the IG/Marine/Ork army? Perfectly legit. Either nobody at GW saw the loophole, or they all thought nobody would violate the fluff so callously, but it was there all the same. Some friends of mine and I did it to an Eldar player at our FLGS thousands of years ago. My Marines, other friend's Guard, other other friend's Orks. Of course, this is out of the Black Codex. Once the Space Marine Codex came out, you couldn't pull a stunt like that anymore.

Oh I was thinking back to the compelation, still you might have been able to do it. Strange that you could fight with orks and not ogruns. But GW is full of loopholes.
