So, ive just recently picked up a box of recon grenadiers, and i have to say, i love the kit. The game itself looks like it'll be alot of fun once i get some more stuff lined up. But untill then, im playing around with my Grenadiers, And it seems i've hit a small impass. Im not going with the arctic color scheme, for the simple fact, its far too close to im Imperial guard units, (who are Krieg so, the similaritys are right there!) And instead i've been tempted with basing off of the DAK Uniforms. I've gotten the cloth colors down, just i have yet to shade them. What i dont know though, is what to do for the armored parts.. any thoughts or suggestions?

With the colors you picked for the cloth I would go with a dark green for armor, similar the primer color for the Allied models, and then coat the whole thing with Devlan mud wash

Allright, Small update. I washed the figures, and im trying afew different things for the armor plates.. im not too sure what i think of using Khakki, I might go with a light grey instead, but i want to try putting some battle damage on there first before im fully decided..

they look quite nice, i love the game and the models. maybe i should get into it sometime

The game is bloody awesome. Give it a go.

Strat, the color scheme is different, and I like that. Make liberal use of washes to keep it toned down, however. More Dust Tactics pix please!

Keep in mind that as a wargamer who also plays a lot of boardgames, I found the basic rules in the boardgame versions not too my liking.

Just too simple and abstract for the wargamer in me, but lacking any depth and interesting mechanics of my favorite boardgames.

That said, the upcoming full miniature game rules seem like a nice wargame with a lot of nuance, so depending on what you like, you can wait until reviews for that are out.

Glad to see the scheme is liked. I'll have to get some of my current pics uploaded to let you guys see. I went a different direction with the armor, but the fatigues are still the same.

Oh man, like the yellow and khaki. Never seen it used before.
