Hi, I've recently read the psychic hood rule, and it seems it's LD+D6 V.

I see this as not being a leadership, as, well, it doesn't use any of the rules for leadership.

Therefore; a psyker with fearless still must test against this.

correct?

Well, considering "Fearless" causes you to pass any Leadership test you are called upon to take, and Psychic tests ARE Leadership tests as they are taken with the Psyker's Leadership and this is expressly stressed, I guess the obvious answer is specific vs general.

Psychic checks are not leadership checks. They are psychic checks. They just so happen to use the LD characteristic. So you are correct that a fearless psyker would need to test against it.

@Sam__theRelentless
That is wrong.

P75, Main Rulebook wrote: Fearless troops automatically pass all Morale and Pinning tests they are required to take...

Emphasis mine.

@pdawg517
That is also wrong.
P50, Main Rulebook wrote: To use a psychic power successfully the psyker must pass a Psychic test, which is a normal Leadership test.

Emphasis mine.

Guys, is it really that hard to actually get out your rulebook before you start making assertions in a rules forum?

The Fearless special rule on page 75 does not cause you to pass any Leadership test. It says the following:

"Fearless troops automatically pass all Morale and Pinning tests they are required to take, and will never fall back."

Fearless does not interact with the rules for the Psychic hood in any way.

Sorry, didn't have it in front of me but I definitely remembered there bei8ng SOMETHING SPECIFIC....

In that case, it must still be taken as there is nothing counteracting it. Considering you've got a Ld of 10...

Wherever the Emperor commands.

The ork weird boy gains fearless (per mob rule)

but in the ork FAQ it says that that even if he is fearless he must take his LD psy check on a 10 (i think 10 is the highest any stat can get

Q. Can a Weirdboy’s Leadership be increased to more
than 10 by the Mob Rule? (p31)
A. No, it can be increased, but only up to a maximum
of 10.

Zombie - because fearless, which lets you pass Morale Checks, has no relation to Leadership Checks which are the larger set. Psychic checks are not morale checks.

The Warlock power Embolden allows a Farseer to reroll psychic tests.
