Subject: Dakka Dakka painters are showing up on GW a lot...
So, I log on to GW's site this morning to find an interesting sight.
Wasn't this photo taken by a Dakka Dakka painter? (I honestly forget his name on Dakka, if anyone would like to tell me, I can link it, as he does amazing work.)

2014 will be the year of zero GW purchases. Kneadite instead of GS, no paints or models. 2014 will be the year I finally make the move to military models and away from miniature games.

They have a submission inbox(some commission painters have had their stuff posted), and they also trawl through their Flickr feed pulling the ones they like best.

A while back they had an Empire army showcased in White Dwarf and online by TVI who was a major player on Warhammer-Empire.com which was very nicely painted, and his tactics set the tone for Empire strategy in both 6th and 7th editions. Sadly he doesn't play Empire anymore.

A certain person kicked it all off by being highly insulting and by conducting himself in an unnacceptable manner. Us Dakka regulars grouped together and calmly explained what he was doing wrong.. to which he continued to respond in an incorrect manner.

Attempting to pull on topic:
I would assume with all GW's tirates going after people, that GW has sought out a gamers permission to post their modeling pictures. The above picture with the Grey Knights is very nice work. GW is very much aware that Gamers respond well to other Gamers. So if you want to graner some attention to them, they show case Gamers / no employee's contributions. I'd prefer for them to have a "by submission" section of their website where people can show off their armies, then GW as a company can trim the fat, and show case the inspiring armies out there.

I wonder why GW doesn't go through these submissions and put them up on their blog ASAP? People are already seeing them on Dakka, so it sort of takes away from the appeal of seeing them on GW's site. However, this may be part of GW's grand "ignore the internet" strategy.
