So I'm reading about Azrael and how the Lion Helm gives everyone 4++ and I think to myself, wow, if only this guy was carrying the Icon of tzeentch, I could field a squad of 10 terminators with a mix of DLC and SB + chainfist. No need for thunderhammer when everyone's got 3++.

So if you could mix wargear and units from various codicies , what cool monstrosities would you make?

Heresy. There is nothing that cannot be overcome by enough Imperial Guardsmen.

Space Marines? Fix Bayonets.

Carnifex? More Bayonets.

Land Raider? Clog the tracks with your own dead, then work your way from there using Bayonets.

In all seriousness though, a lash of submission would be very handy in getting units out of cover and blasted away.

Well me and my friends play games with mixed armies all the time, so it can get nasty with Ghaza Ragnar Logan and Abbadon Hitting calgar Lysander and shrike,+a 10 man TH and SS unit. Lets just says things get messy and Screwed up really fast.

I would be hilarious and take a Land Raider Crusader in a Tau army, just to have something the firewarriors can assault out of.

hmm..... any sized guardsmen blob squad with twin linked lighting claws, deployed from, (and i cant believe i'm about to do this), a CRASSUS ARMOURED ASSAULT TRANSPORT.

ugh... i hate myself now for doing that.

The problem is, if playing a normal game, while sisters can be in an army led by vulcan they can not benefit from his chapter tactics as they don't have a chapter tactics special rule. Believe me, I have sisters and SM and wouldn't hesitate for a moment if you could normally do this.

Reread his special rule. All flame and melta weapons in your army get the twin-linking, not just those on units with Combat Tactics.

At our shop we run one of these each year called aprils fools anything goes (Cheater Tournament) you get 400 pts of anything no force org, you can mix codex's, its crazy I made a grot army all with master of the deathwing's jet bikes, since the upgrade was free I just paid 6 pts for each grot It was crazy! But think about it so many options!
