In one month, I'll be moving to South Korea to teach for a year or two. I'm a mess of emotions - excited to explore, nervous about liking it, etc. I'm also a bit sad that I have to leave my armies ( 1.5k of Tau and 3.5k of Codex Space Marines) back in the states.

I can't, however, just leave my hobby behind entirely. As much as I get outside and as much as I'm going to explore, I know there will be some evenings where I just want to sit around and build a hero or two. Thus I have created a bits box, a simple 9X5 inch compartmentalized box that contains various projects to flesh out my marines - sgts and characters with powerfists, combi-weapons, etc. It weighs about 4 pounds, which is pretty hefty considering I can only take a 44 pound checked bag.

Now, here comes the part where I need advice:

Does anyone out there know what the wargame community is like in S. Korea?

Any particular tools that I should take? I really can't take paints or primer, as I don't want those blowing up in my suitcase. Will it be easy to find these things? How about exactos, pin drills, or green stuff?

For those who don't know much about Korea, but have done overseas traveling / moving, is there anything that is a must take? What about shipping models overseas? If I build a small force to take home, I'd hate for them to be ripped up by customs.

Thanks for the help everyone!

Somewhere in south-central England.

We have a few Korean members.

As long as there is plastic injection modelling in Korea you'll be able to get practically any tools and stuff you need.

At worst you can probably get stuff sent over from Japan pretty cheaply. (Not GW models!)

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.
