Just curious if Shade Death Stars still have what it takes to get it done.

Lord: Pendant, Dragon Helm, Shrieking Blade, Stubborn crown, heavy Armor, shield, cloak, pair of handbows.
Sorceress: Level 2 Shadow, Sacrificial Knife
Sorceress: Level 2 Shadow, extra spell
Master: 1+ armor, BSB, Great Weapon
2x40 Spearmen, standard and muscian
16 Repeating Crossbowmen, standard and musician
28 Shades, extra handweapons
Assassin, Rending Stars, Cloak of Twilight, extra hand weapons

The wizards go for Mindrazor and Withering. Stubborn lord is to keep shades from breaking, too many points to risk losing them early.
The shooting output will crush a unit that has been withered (up to ~30 kills from 1 round of shooting), and all the units are very dangerous with mindrazor.
With a pair of power's of darkness, and the power die making dagger, I should have prolific magic phases. Not afraid to throw 10 dice at mindrazor during a critical combat either.
Lord has handbows so shades and stand and fire at short range.

I'd say if you are going for a shooting heavy army drop a unit of spearmen for 20 more crossbows and bring the other unit down to 25 again using the points for crossbows.

I personally love shades and if I had more of them I'd use them all.

I'd also suggest the bsb have the regen armor and the fire ward talisman.

my 2 copper for what it's worth.

I could swap the 2x40 spearmen for 2x24 crossbows. I might have to take a look at that. 64 repeaters +28 shades would do a ton of damage in the shooting phase, but I'd be worried about steadfast opponents just out swamping my ability to shoot.

4+ armor with 4+ regen, vs 1+ armor is pretty much a wash.
If anything, I'd add re-rolls to the 1+ armor save.

What's the best use of 28 shades?
1 unit, 2 units or 3? I was thinking 28, but now I'm leaning towards 14, 7 and 7. If I don't run the shades as a death star, I don't need the stubborn lord on foot; freeing up quite a few points.
