Thought I'd share this, new to me and I've not seen it here, really like the aesthetic of the model. It's got a kind of aquatic vibe.

And he's a big lad...

Interesting. Bulky. I like the heads more than the GW one, but I like GW's body... :ponders modelling:

6th edition lands on June 23rd!

Good news. This is the best time in the hobby. Full of promise. GW lets us down each time and we know it but secretly we're hoping that this is the edition that GW gives us a balanced game that can also be played competitively at tournaments. I'm loving it.

Nice - wish I had a use for one...

Maybe a 'counts as' something in a Warriors of Chaos army?

Yeah, GW should totally release an expansion or something that lets other armies take things like Hydras.

life.

The center-front head pose reminds me of some semi-nice sculpts from Mantic.

I collect:

Grand alliance death (whole alliance)

Stormcast eternals

Slaves to Darkness - currently Nurgle but may expand to undivided.

Looks a bit chibi...

Having said that, it would fit in nicely with the Warmahordes aesthetic.

Was released about two months ago and posted in some threads as a nice alternative to the Dark Elf Hydra. I own one, but haven't assembled the kit yet.

I might use it as a hellcannon for my WoC army, as I hate the hellcannon model but after dakkacon, where one ate my knights of chaos, I might well take one.

I thought it was robotic at first but now I see it is 'fishy' looking. It is a nice take on a Hydra and kinda neat.

It's nice, but my problem with this is the same as the one I
have about the Legion of Everblight Typhon model. The body
doesn't appear proportionate to the heads. I want it to be
bigger and bulkier.

edit: the heads are great.

So, is it resin or white metal? The picture definitely looks like resin, but I wanted to be sure.

It's certainly different, but the Reptus Hydra from Reaper still gets my vote.

Cute, but I've no interest in an 'expansion' that ratchets up magic power levels even more than 8th edition already did!
