okay, next month i NEED dedicated transports for my chaos marine army and a second hq choice, and a oblit, i know what my second hq choice is going to be, now im wondering on what kind of transports to pick up. a a land raider and two rhinos, or 4 rhinos and no land raider. i found these kits at reasonable prices, but the land raider is still quite much, considering i alrady have two havoc squads, and a defiler that fills up my heavy support slots. these are what infantry i have that need transports
2x 9man squads of bezerkers,
2x 7 man squads of plauge marines
1 5 man squad of chosen
2 havoc squads, that have the ability to go up to 10 men each
and i only have 1 rhino transport
should i buy a land raider, considering there's not much on it that can fire at stuff, and its expensive,or should i stick to getting rhinos, im just trying to balance usefullness, point cost, and acutal cost

Stick with the Rhinos. A LR is useful as a transport only if you have termies, IMO.

I don't know, being able to bring up your berzerkers and have them charge out of the transport rather than having to weather a round of shooting sounds usefull.

Yes, but is it 230 points of useful? Land Raiders are schizophrenic units. They don't know if they want to be anti armor, anti infantry, frontline assault transports, or backfield gun platforms. OP should definitely go for rhinos so he can move his men around before getting wackier stuff like a Land Raider.

if only the chaos land raiders had more options with equipment like vanilla marine land raiders, and othe special chapters have, then i would fork over the money for one, otherwise ill wait and just get basic transports

If you're buying from new, get Razorback, not Rhinos.
It's what I got told for loyalist Marines, not sure about Chaos.
A Razorback box comes with everything you get in the Rhino box, plus turrets and dozer blades, etc.

no i cant, im chaos, we dont have razorbacks, the most i can stick on it that makes it any form of an artilary/heavy support mimic is putting a havoc launcher on my rhinos..... and i almost never pay GW sticker price unless i realy have to order from thier store

Ah well. I'll remember that for next time.
Nice weapons it gets, though. Might have to get one to convert.
