Hey, so I am working on painting my armor, and seem to be a little hung up. My Kans and Dreadnoughts are the first vehicles to paint. I have painted one Kan so far. He is not done, but is well under way. I think what is putting me off is all the plate armor. Seems so big and empty. I just feel like something is missing. Any comments and recommendations would be appreciated.

I think it looks good so far. What I did for my Killa Kans was I based it in a drybrush of Boltgun Metal, then I took Tin Bitz and Red Gore and randomly placed the colors on the model.

Like example, the red you've used I would put on the teeth and the plate under the plate with teeth I would put Tin Bitz (or whatever you're using). I'd put Tin Bitz (or whatever you're using) on the rivet bits on the plate with the teeth and the bottom plate I would put the red on the larger bits that stick out of the plate. And etc etc all around the model on bits and pieces that are sticking out (not all the tiny little rivets).

Just my thoughts, feel free to use or not use.

The red on the teeth would look good, and yeah, the plate under the the plate with the teeth as well (It seems to match the vision slot plate well). Btw, i am using Tinny Tin from Valejo. Thought I'd clear that up

It looks good that + 1 for red teeth though.
Also if you are concerned about lots of the metal being the same, maybe paint some random parts of the painting in a different shade of red or shiny.

Here is an updated pic, with more of the kans painted, and washed. Am thinking about hitting them with dry brush boltgun metal over the washed metal. But beyond that, any opinions?

Btw, that first can I used the last few drops of badab black in the pot, and his wash came out pretty dark. The rest are from a new pot of wash, and they came out a lil brighter. Better imo.
