Hey all,

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XJRDgrgNnFk&feature=related

Fritz seems like a good player(way better than me of course), and I love his videos, but because I dont have an account on youtube, and some of the commenting people are like retards, I would rather talk about it here. So the farseer has been in the combat for what 3 turns...?But he still gets fortunes...

Is it my misunderstanding or did he really make a mistake?

Thanks for replies!

there is nothing restricting fortune...as long as you can cast the power you can use it. but remember it has to be cast at the beginning of the eldar turn

yes, as long as he casts fortune at the start of his turn being in combat doesnt enter into it.

Pretty sure you can. Just not psychic shooting attack powers.

Probably shouldn't use the word slow like that, but it's common knowledge that Youtube comments are the lowest form of human communication.

Only PSAs have restrictions and some powers can ONLY be cast in combat.

but aside from PSAs and any specific restrictions you can always cast your powers at the appropriate times.

Fritz actually does a decent job with his videos. I don't always agree with his interpertations and tactics, but he doesn't ever do anything blatently wrong(like nearly every other Youtube tactics series)

He did Fortune and Turbo-boost on turn 1. That's not legal.

"'players must agree how they are going to select their armies, and if any restrictions apply to the number and type of models they can use."

This is an actual rule in the actual rulebook. Quit whining about how you can imagine someone's army touching you in a bad place and play by the actual rules.

Yes I've heard that arguement many times and I agree with it, but I question it with other people but I have no solid proof. I know on the BRB it says you can't do anything that turn when you turbo boosted, but you fortune before the turbo boost, so timeline wise you cannot apply a rule that you haven't got to yet.

Mind sharing your ideas?

Anyways thanks for all those replies guys, appriciated greatly.

You have all the evidence you need right there. Doing something before you turbo-boost is still doing something, which you're not allowed to do in the same turn.
