Right now I have a list that is mostly boys, with a squad of nobs and ghazkull, about 1500 points. I'm thinking about adding Grotsnik to my squad of gretchin to give them all cybork bodies. Has anyone tried this before? Is it worth it?

LOL! Rampaging FNP Cybork Grots of DOOM!
Seriosly, that is not a good use of points at all. Paying 5 points per model to give T2 3-point models an invul save is a complete waste. Where Grotsnik shines is giving FNP to Ard Boys.
That being said, the converison opportunity is awesome, as would be the look on your opponents face when you start charging across the board with those Grots

To what end Mousehunter?
What role will super grots fill, or do you just want to use them as Ablative wounds for Grotsnik?
Even so, if you put them all in a battlewagon.. how good is just Grotsnik vs. whatever you will be killing, because the grots add nothing.
Grotsnik in a Nobs squad is interesting... but Warboss is better.

How so? Nobz can simply take a regular painboy who functions perfectly well. I do like the ard boyz idea though, that or mega nobz like most people say.

Not to worry, that block of chedder can be tied up easily with 30 boyz, can get his ass handed to him in a match with Ghazzy, and can be squigified with Zogwort. How satisfiying would that be? ....Squigfiston, Lord of gak...

Yeah, 30 Boyz, cybork bodies and Mad Dok are a pain to kill. They have super-rage, though (no LOS requirement), so they can be led by the nose.
Mad Dok + Snikrot's squad can lead to some fun times. Snikrot's ability to show up wherever allows you to mitigate some of the rage stupidity.

Cybergrots make pretty good objective sitters, at least for me
|
The Viletide: Daemons of Nurgle/Deathguard: 7400 pts
Disclples of the Dragon - Ad Mech - about 2000 pts
GSC - about 2000 Pts
Rhulic Mercs - um...many...
Circle Oroboros - 300 Pts or so
Menoth - 300+ pts

Eh.
Take 29 cybergrots (+2 runtherds) ~262 points.
For that same amount of points, you can field 2x 29+2 with points to spare. Holding objectives, you should be stringing out to get cover saves anyways, and going to ground (or even not, and just taking 4+) is better than the Cyb save.
Now, on 30 boyz... that's a tough nut to crack. On gretch? Probably better off with just doubling the number you take.

cybokrk grechin iis a novelty, somethign we joke about and ocationally field for the wtf factor... but yea the most effective I've ever used mad doc is granting cybork to all of my komandoes full 15 w/ snikrot 2 burnas and of coarse cyborks. they lasty and since you get to pick placement the super rage isn't such a huge deal against most armies.
