So I'm starting up Chaos Daemons. Initially i wanted an all Tzeentch list, but after review, and guidance of veteran players, i have found that mixed generally is the most competative. So here is my first stab at a fairly well rounded list, that is still fairly based around Tzeentch.

Second go at this post (not sure how i should split this list):

Unit 1 (110 points) HQ - Herald of Tzeentch (Master of Sorcery, We are Legion, Bolt of Tzeencth)
Unit 2 (110 points) HQ - Herald of Tzeentch (Master of Sorcery, We are Legion, Bolt of Tzeencth)
Unit 3 (335 points) HQ/Elite - Herald of Khorne (Unholy Might, Blessing of the Blood God, Fury of Khorne, Juggernaught of Khorne) 4 Bloodcrushers of Khorne (Fury of Khorne, Chaos Icon, Instrument of Chaos)
Unit 4 (240 points) Elite - 6 Flamers of Tzeentch (Bolt of Tzeentch)
Unit 5 (175 points) Troops - 10 Plaguebearers of Nurgle (Chaos Icon)
Unit 6 (129 points) Troops - 7 Pink Horrors of Tzeentch (Bolt of Tzeentch)
Unit 7 (129 points) Troops - 7 Pink Horrors of Tzeentch (Bolt of Tzeentch)
Unit 8 (220 points) Heavy Support - 1 Daemon Prince of Chaos (Daemonic Flight, Mark of Tzeentch, Bolt of Tzeentch, Daemonic Gaze)
Unit 9 (220 points) Heavy Support - 1 Daemon Prince of Chaos (Daemonic Flight, Mark of Tzeentch, Bolt of Tzeentch, Daemonic Gaze)
Unit 10 (220 points) Heavy Support - 1 Daemon Prince of Chaos (Daemonic Flight, Mark of Tzeentch, Bolt of Tzeentch, Daemonic Gaze)
Unit 11 (112 points) Fast Attack - 7 Screamers of Tzeentch

Any suggestions on what might work better, or strategies to make this a winning army are much appreciated

Right off the get-go, The Masque isnt an IC and therefore cannot join units. She is also painfully fragile. A single tac marine unit will wipe her out handily in one round of shooting.
She's nice for a grinder phlegm spam list only for her three pavanes. Even so, she probably won't live longer than a turn.

I'm not a fan of 10 strong horror units but YMMV.

10 Daemonettes simply won't make it into combat. The unit is too frail. 15-20 always.

Screamers are totally useless IMHO.

Too many upgrades on the prince. Especially might and bolt. As a MC it gets 2d6 so on anything other than Land Raiders/Monoliths S5 is well past enough to cause harm. Breath is fine, not my personal choice, but notihng wrong with it.

Bloodcrushers aren't kitted out to absorb damage, something they do annoyingly well.

For icons, never more than two. One in each wave.

Fluff is great, and going fluffy can be fun. But if you want to hold an objective or two, one word. Plaguebearers. They're annoyingly resiliant in cover.

I find Heralds of Tzeentch perform best on chariots with bolt. They go zoom and try and get sideshots on armour. The model isn't availaible but thanks to recent releases they are easy and fun kitbashes.

One grinder is going to go pop the first turn its on the field as all the enemy AT will go straight for it. Replace it with a cheap prince or spam three.

I probably come across as kind of a jerky-turkey, but these are all observations based off of my experience with my wonderful Daemons.

Cheers mate.

To Canadianbigshot-

How many pink horrors would you recommend a unit to have?

If i swap out the daemonettes for plague bearers, should i drop in a herald for some solidification?

What is a good alternative to screamers for anti tank?

What upgrades would you recomend on the Bloodcrushers to make them more effective?

For horrors, 5. Simply put, the turn they arrive they shoot and then hope the first frag missile coming their way doesnt wipe them off the table.
Adding The Changeling can add a low-chance, but definitely worth it if it procs, defensive ability.

If you are a fan of suicide troops, units of 3 flamers can be devastating. However, they compete with crushers for those valuable elite slots.

Wouldn't worry about adding a herald to a plaguebearer squad, they are tough as nails in cover. 3+/5++ with feel no pain back-up is just great. Just goto ground and profit.

Winged Daemon Princes and Greater Daemons eat armour for breakfast. Plus they can take a vicious kicking. Tzeentch Chariot Heralds also work for this role.
Tongued grinders *can* work, but that BS3 can be terribly counter-productive. They can definitely do it in CC but they have to get there first.
As far as 2k games go, your enemy will likely have a pile of AT available, multi-wound 4++ MCs are far more survivable than 3 AV13 vehicles.

Take every gift available on the crushers. Four wound groupings means 4+ unsaved wounds are required before models start getting removed. It also handily eliminates the need to take an icon in an otherwise squishy troop choice.
Plus you get the wonderful deathstar option of adding a Herald or Skulltaker on a Juggernaut for maximum carnage.
