Subject: Doom of Malan'tai turn sequence and specification

Hey mates,
Silly question, but I'd like to know if I understand the Doom of Malan'tai correctly. Does it indeed function as follows?:
Doom of Malan’tai
Movement phase:
Drops.
Disembarks from Mycetic Spore.
Shooting phase:
1. Spirit Leech goes off.
E.g. Two (non-embarked) squads in range, both roll leadership @3d6, coversaves or inv. saves vs. number of wounds.
E.g. Gains three wounds from two squads in 6”, is now S7 and W7
2. Fires Cataclysm
Take Psychic test @ Ld10
Substract one S and W if failed and wound is not saved (3++).
E.g. Psychic test is passed.
Place template, roll for scatter and substract BS4” from the scatter roll when no hit.
Resolve template at S7 AP1
E.g. Gain three wounds from target squad, now S10 W10
Roll D3 for Cataclysm penalty
E.g. Lose two wounds, now S8 W8
Subsequent enemy turn, weather incoming fire.
Rinse and repeat.
Did I get it right?

Almost right!
Two small corrections:
When you use Cataclysm, you lose the wounds after you calculate the strength, but before you gain new wounds. Often, this has the same net effect. However, if you were to use Cataclysm at W3, you'd potentially kill yourself, and if you use it at W10, you have a chance of staying W10.
Also, note that Spirit Leech also goes off during the opponent's turn. This means that you don't just weather the enemy shooting, but you can also get a bit more damage/wounds out of it.

I could be wrong about this, but I thought that If the Doom rolls snakeeyes for Perils of the Warp and the attack goes off that you resolve Cataclysm BEFORE Doom loses any wounds to Perils of the Warp.
So if Doom starts with 5 wounds, and rolls snakeeyes.
Cataclysm is resolved with a Strength of 5.
Doom takes 1D3 wounds from Cataclysm
Doom absorbs wounds from Spirit Leech
Doom takes a wound from Perils of the Warp
Is that right, or am I wrong?

You immediately resolve Perils, which implies itis before you do anything else

So if you immediately resolve Perils... and the Doom happens to kill himself with it, what happens?
I thought even if a model dies to Perils of the Warp the attack still goes off before the model dies.

Murrdox - you still resolve the power on a 2, same as a model dying froma plasma overheat.

Right, that's my point - so if you still resolve the power on a 2, and the Doom only has 1 wound... the power goes off with a Strength of what? Does Doom make his Perils of the Warp save before determining the strength of the shot or after?

At the same time; the strength is 1, then the doom dies
