Honestly, i'm not sure whether this should go here or into Modeling, but I think this is more of a question for the people who play
FB.
I'm a
40k player who's been looking into fantasy 'cuz I think it's neat. So, in cleaning out the back shed we have out here in the middle of nowhere, I came upon a small treasure trove in the form of the old Heroquest game, made by Milton Bradley designed by Games Workshop? I came across that four times, actually. Apparantly, when I was young, I knew my stuff

I also chewed on minis.

But that's besides the point.
Anyways, in investigating, it occured to me that there were a lot of Orc and Goblin miniatures - Apparantly, being far less "cool" than the gargoyles, i had managed not to lose most of them. In fact, there are enough of them to make a small start of an army, and that's my question here; what would you think of someone fielding old heroquest models as part of an army? They're designed by
GW, albeit a long time ago, and I think they look right but I don't have any models for reference. I think they look pretty cool, actually, and I've got enough orcs and goblins to take a troop of each and have some spare, and I'm thinking the weird vimir things (cyclops lizards? or whatever?) might make some proxy Black Orks, and that backed up with some boar riders, something big and siege-y, and the requisite
HQs might make a viable army.
So my questions are, 1) Is that a viable army for a starting player? and more importantly, 2) Is this something that you wouldn't mind seeing across the battlefield from your shiny new tomb lords, or whatnot? Expecially if I start making fun of it I'm thinking a great shaman to start, by the name of Zargon...
