Subject: IE 9 issue marking threads as read

I did a search and was not able to find anything on this in the forum.
I have to use IE as a browser for work, so no Firefox for me.
With IE8, when I read a thread and hit the back button to get to the forum page, the thread would be marked as read (no bolding and no skip to unread). Now that I have upgraded to IE9, this no longer works.
If I click on the link at the bottom of the page to go to the link, the threads are marked as read, but not by using the back button.
I have tried loading dakka in compatibility view, but this doesn't help.
Anybody know if there is a fix for this or if it is just a bug for whatever forums program Dakka uses?

Have you tried refreshing the page? That usually works for me. When I come to dakka, I usually swing by my subscribed threads page to see what topics have new posts and check them out sequentially. When I press back, it doesn't register them as unread but that changes when I manually click to refresh. Hope that helps.

Refreshing is really the only option. IE9 uses a different style of caching, and so it will be a faster load for you but will not reflect changes like read threads.

OK, thanks for the info. I'll just have to remember to hit the refresh button

Sorry to thread necro, but after the latest upgrade a few weeks ago, this got worse for me.
Refreshing seems to no longer mark threads as read. I have to close IE completely and delete my history to see the threads as read.
Sometimes while reading a thread I will come back to the main forum page and all my previous read threads will be set as read, but I can't replicate it. Automatically Appended Next Post: Sorry to necro, but his seems to have gotten worse after the last work done a few weeks ago.
Refreshing no longer sets threads to read. I have to exit and delete all history before they show up as read the next time I log in. Sometimes while I'm reading a thread, I will come back and all my read threads will be set to read, but I can't replicate it or track down why this is happening.
I am using IE9 with compatability mode off.
