So my local gaming buddies have decided to do a 1000 point swap, where we each pull a army out of a hat and play it but it cant be your force. To my delight I happened to of pulled Skaven, now this is a friendly tournament between the 8 of us but I know for a fact that the guys who pulled Dark Elves and WoC are going to bring their A game so I thought I would cheese it up a bit. Heres the list so far but I need to make some aditions to bring me to 1000 points.

I think I need a second hammer and maybe a BSB...any advice?

A unit of 25 slaves isn't going to do much. You also don't have any means of dealing damage other than the Seer and HPA. Drop the small slave unit, get a unit of Clanrats w/spears and put a FC + BSB in it.

Have you thought of taking a WLC and doom wheel instead of the HPA?
The WLC can ruin the WOC player's day. One good WLC shot into his warriors will cripple them, same against DE black guard. Also the impact hits, zzzap, and higher I of the wheel should smoke a hydra before it can strike.
I'd also look into only taking 1 unit of 40 slaves. The rest of the points could be clanrats with standard/musician. A poison wind mortar would do you well in 1000 points too, again one well placed shot will be well worth it against black guard/chaos warriors.
Beware of the DE ring of any doubles=miscast.

I ended up adding a unit of stormvermin with a warpfire thrower and not taking a BSB, and cleaned shop besides our ogre player of all things who my main hammers struggled against but I ended up winning.

My first game was against WoC whom I crushed fairly easily (small army based around warriors really struggled against my numbers)

Second I played ogres being manned by the Skaven general (whos knowledge of his own army far surpassed mine) and I barely pulled a win (last turn lucky burn from the fire thrower)

My finaly game was against the DE player and once again my warpire thrower carried the day against the Hydra. While the HPA and Greyseer cleaned up any infantry that got in my way.
