After watching X-Men: First Class, I decided to have a X-Men movie marathon mainly because the movie restored my interest in the X-Men film franchise and I haven't seen the older films in awhile. I've watched

X-Men and X2 but I don't understand why Last Stand received much more hatred than the previous films, I know it's been awhile since I've seen Last Stand but I seem to remember it being a likeable movie.

Anyways I will be seeing it soon in order to complete my movie marathon.

*shrug* Your guess is as good as mine. Probably has something to do with a lot of characters getting killed off. Fans of the comics never really cared for how much those movies differed from the established material as it was.

Personally, I hate The Last Stand because they turn Magneto into a stereotyped idiot Movie Villain. Plus the whole Phoenix thing was wasted/ruined/turned lame to a mind bogglingly great degree.

I didn't like it as much as other super hero movies, but at least it was better than Wolverine.... Still trying to figure out why every mutant and their mothers could jump fifty stories in the air....

I rather liked the Juggernaught, though I hated how Magneto wasn't thinking when it came to Mystique.... Seriously, he would have gathered so many more followers if he hand handled that situation correctly...

I've never feared Death or Dying. I've only feared never Trying.

I hate X-Men Origins: Wolverine because by having an unkillable hero as the main protagonist it destroys all the tension in the movie there's no sense of danger in any of the action scenes because you know

wolverine won't die, therefore making a boring film.

Dude, Magneto lifted the Golden Gate bridge to Alcatraz. Lift it another 150 feet and drop it on the goddamn island.

It wasn't really bad. I find it funny when people point out stupid things that characters should have done and say it's a bad movie because of that. Stuff like that happens in most movies, but isn't done because it would make the movie boring.

Just go to howitshouldhaveended.com for more of that.

Well, this is the problem with all super powered individuals. Super powered
beings, working in concert, should be able to eliminate all life on the
planet by doing all sorts of dangerous things with their powers. Imagine
Iceman freezing pipes and other infrastructure or the White Queen
messing with air traffic controllers or other personnel in critical areas or
Wolverine absorbing diseases and spreading them like a typhoid Mary.

Instead, they use their powers to create cinematic fights against one another.

Isn't that true of pretty much any prequel where the protagonist is still alive in (chronologically) later films?

kind of, but at least in those cases the protagonist might be seriously injured, or incapacitated.

As it is, you have wolverine, who can walk around being shot full of holes, and the worst that can happen is that he can be knocked out.

The reason why I didn't like the movie was there just didn't seem to be any intrigue. Obviously Magneto had some kinda dubious plot in store for non-mutants and whatnot but really, did anything in that movie come as a suprise in the end? I will be clear though, it is not the worst movie I have ever seen, just didn't hold my intrest. Origins was far worse than this movie was though, I will agree with that.
