Thoughts.... This is a total of 2333pts, so there is room to add to some units or characters with magic...

Tourn is in two and a bit months...time to covert, paint and test a few add-ons... good ideas will be rewarded with photos of conversions

drop the two non-bsb paladins and the level 2 for a level 4 and a lord, in 8th the higher LD and magic is essential

Yeah, high Leadership and good magic - if only for defense - are almost manditory.

I'd consider a dispel scroll for the Damsel, and the Silver Mirror for the Prophetess you should have. I'm serious, magic can really screw you over in 8E. You want the best magic defense you can get, and having 2 dispel scroll-equvalents go a long way in that crucial turn when your opponent rolls really well for the winds of magic.

What single lord? There are no restrictions on how many lords you can take in games anymore, only a points cap. In my High Elves I run a lv4 mage and a prince.

@ Aerethan- True, at 2400pts I can take a max of 600 points on 'lord' choices and could comfortably have a prophetess and bret lord sufficiently tooled up. I was refering to some people comments to do just that. My thoughts are:

Spending some 500 points (how much I would spend if I went a Lord/Prophetess combo) on lord choices really diminishes my ability to spend on knights. Knights are the brets main unit (obviously), and given their points cost they will be out numbered. If I go the lord/prophetess combo, I will be REALLY out numbered. I need the knights to win combat, and having the two paladins over one lord will help me here. I have tooled with the idea of giving my two paladins knightly duties, but I am struggling to choose which ones, and what I shall sacrifice for them. Any ideas?

Out of curiosity, what is your list that includes two lord choices?

my 2k Brett army has 2 lord choices a green knight and a phrophet. it works well

if you come up against anything that can only be killed by magic attacks .... you only have two models that can kill them

That is one of the few strenghts of the Brets... we can actually have units with magical attacks.

Its not too often i come up against ethreals now though, but when i do, magic is always there. i roll flock of doom or amber spear 90% of the time
