Hey gus, just thought I'd tell you about my experience with the Captain America game so far. It can be summed up in one little sentence:
Batman: Arkham Asylum meets
Wolfenstein.
It's not nearly as good as Batman though.
You play as Cap, who's "infiltrated" (he fell through the roof) a large Hydra base in Germany. There you will fight lots and lots of Hydra goons with a combat system that share's quite a few things with Arkham. You basicaly have one punch button, one for jumping around, one for grabs and if you knock an enemy to the floor you better make sure he stays done. Cap wouldn't be Cap without his Shield of course and you can throw it around and even hit multiple targets. Just watch out, if you're shield's on the other side of the room, you can't deflect bulets back to the shooters.
Combat is the most satisfying part of the game by far. The exploration is nice, but not really necessary. Though you can find tons and TONS of stuff if that's you thing.
The one part that really dissapointed me was the acrobatics. Basically, every platforming part is a quick time event in which you can't die. Kinda takes out the fun of the looking for secrets too.
The Wolfenstein-part is basically just the setting. If you like your Nazis over the top and pulpy, boy, is this a game for you!
"Herr Schkull has authorized use of ze cube. With it, I can power my new superweapon."
Overall, it's pretty decent, I've certainly played worse movie games. The combat is fun, the Nazis are hillarious, but it doesn't offer much beyond that. Not worth 60 bucks, but if you're a Cap fan you could get it used or rent it over a weekend.
