i am thinking about skaven for my first WHFB army and was wondering how well they play.
now im not looking for some overpowerd army.just wondering how they play i.e.fast, swarm, range ,CC that type of thing i realy like the models.
if some one could tell a little about them that would cool.

They rely on lots of hordes, good magic from the grey seers and horrific rares like a bombs

Skaven are really good Ive only played once but i lost due to inexperience. I agree with the post above mine you need lots of them and need magic and rares. Here is a pic of 3 of my Skaven if it helps you out.

Skaven are a fun army to play and fairly forgiving for new players. Just don't get upset when your rats kill themselves off as much as the enemy does. Life is cheap when you're a rat-man.

Oh yeah every once in a while your going to blow chunks of your army up, all part of the fun mate

Skaven are a great army because of their breadth of choices and strategies. Many armies are just one type of combat. You don't HAVE to make Skaven super hordy, it's just they have a ton of options for it and it's very solid. You can make them gunline, war machines, monster-heavy, horde, etc.
