So guys can you guys tell me what you know about the IF and what you think of them:
1)Do they act high an mighty like the Ultras? or are the one of "normal" legions? (i.e not like the BA or SW)

2)I am trying to choose between IF, CSM, and Orks if you have any advice for me on this decision i'd appreciate it i am only considering the IF because i have heard that lysander is a pretty good hq and i don't like mclager's model

3) Now say that i did choose to roll SM Which land raider type is best? and in which situations do each variant excel?

-thanks in advance

Don't you see? My Master Tzeentch cares not which of the Great Powers of Chaos you serve. In the end, aren't the followers of the Blood God changing valiant warriors into headless corpses? Aren't the worshippers of the Lord of Flies changing strong, healthy bodies into rotting, diseased carcasses? Aren't the disciples of the Dark Prince changing stern, steadfast heroes into slaves to their own senses? Accept that Tzeentch has a place for all of us in his grand scheme, and be happy in the part you have to play.

1) Don't all Space Marines act high and mighty? I thought it came with the implants. Seriously though they seem a pretty grim bunch. Being renowned for their stubborness and siege expertise I would image they are a pretty stonefaced bunch. I do like the Imperial Fists though. Might be because they are such a striking yellow or it might be because John Hurt is a Imperial Fist and I like John Hurt.
2) If your only considering Imperial Fists due to one HQ then maybe CSM or Orks would be a more appealing choice. I'm partial to orks myself.
3) This I'm not an expert on by any means.

For the Land Raiders:
1) The standard Land Raider is a good at killing tanks and infantry, along with transporting Terminators.
2) The Land Raider Redeemer is really good at killing horde armies like Orks or Tyranids.
3) The Land Raider Crusader is best at getting your Terminators right were they need to be.

1. Although I don't think they're very 'high and mighty,' the Imperial Fists are probably about on par with the Ultramarines in terms of attitude.

2. Imperial Fists if you can paint yellow decently. (It's a hard color.) Orks if you can't. (No shame. I couldn't.)

3. Against other vehicles, the vanilla Land Raider excels. Against almost everything else, the Crusader is dynamite. It's ability to travel at cruising speed and still fire all it's weapons is a huge bonus.

Coolyo's right on the money with Land Raiders, but I think the Crusader is even better at taking out hordes due to being able to move and shoot everything and the sheer volume of shots it puts out. It also doesn't need to be pretty much at melee range to do damage, which is where Raiders get popped the most.

Also, Lysander is a beast. Stick him with Terminators and put them on the move, so you've got a squad of Terminators with rerollable misses on their stormbolters walking around the field. A bit expensive, but very cool.
