Was wondering this my last game, I noticed around my shop everyone was eating a ton of different snacks, personally I chug a few red bulls and before I roll the dice, gives em that natural jitter when they hit the table! What's dakka's preferred snack for war?

I play most of my games at my next door neighbors house, so I usualy come with a small bag of chips and sandwich and a soda and maybe some candy

Never eated in a game, but I guess I'd like something salty, but not too greasy to not stain the minis

Maybe peanuts or chips. And Mountain Dew.

We don't do snacks at our table.

Beverages.....drink what ever you like, just don't put it on the table.

I ually play my games about dinner time, so its usally chips from the takeaway around the corner from the club. My mate Dougie always has a tube of cookies to himself-along with pasta and garlic bread before hand out of the community centre's kitchen, but alas, in the all the time that I'va known him I've never had one of those things. Oh yeah, did I mention there's a bar full of Bosnian war veterans next door? ...It does not do for Dougie to visit that place before games (he spent an entire evening calling me Frodo...though when he's sober I'm Moriatay...on account of my "negative ways"). ^^'

Eating and drinking at the gaming table are a no no here. But often there are breaks in between or some such. Soda, chips and my favorite, fresh kung pao chicken.

I don't eat while playing, but will eat while watching others play.

Soda of choice from the Railys next door(Bananna is awsome, just don't let it get warm)

sometimes I get a 14" turkey from Railys too.

usually its either Burger King or Little Ceasers Pizza.

I have a diet cola. If I really need to eat, it'll be a granola bar, or something else that will do the trick, and not leave me with sticky or dusty fingers when I'm handling models.

Me, I'm a big fan of buffalo wings, or the mini-drumsticks, barbecued... so those are my go-to but, if I'm feeling hoity-toity, I will totally nom on some sushi like a Tyranid swarm making planetfall.

I dont eat while playing, Im busy claming skulls. So cant be botherd with food or drink

I like to think that I can go an uninterrupted hour without requiring food...

but looking at the general shape of other gamers, I guess there's some who can't.

If your tabletop game takes less than 6 hours, you're doing it wrong.

Pretzels are a good option. They're salty, tasy and won't leave your fingers al greasy.

Well it depends.

If I'm going to game on Vassal (IE I don't have a Saturday off and can't make it to the FLGS that week), I'll usually pick up a Firehouse Sub from work (Shameless plug ftw)

If I get a Saturday off, the FLGS is between a Firehouse Subs and a Little Caesars, so I'll pick up Firehouse before my first game and around Dinner time, I'll grab a Pizza.

I like to overload on either monsters or jolts either way i get a caffene high going and in between games either a sub or a pizza is always good. It happens that the store i goto from time to time is between a firehouse and little caesars too.

...Bit of a over reaction...and do you have alot of people picking up your models in the middle of the game without asking?

usually il order a donor pizza, thats right Dkkites, a onor kebabs filling, on a pizza base, and then wash it down with liters of choco shake
