Following my idea for a combined Elysian Drop Troops/DKK Engineer Army, I came up with the following unit.

Drop Engineers[110pts]

Composition:
9 Engineers
1 Watchmaster

Type: Infantry

Wargear:
Carapace Armour
Shotgun or Lasgun
Laspistol
Frag+Krak Grenades

Special Rules
Iron Discipline
Hardened Fighters
Deep Strike
Fortifications - If the squad lands in non-dangerous terrain via deep strike, the squad does not have to test for dangerous terrain. In addition, the cover save of the piece of terrain is increased by one for the remainder of the game.

Options:
2x Engineers may exchange their shotguns for
Meltagun[10pts]
or
Flamer/Grenade Launcher[5pts]

An Engineers that have not taken an upgrade can take
Heavy Flamer[10pts]
Demolition Charge[20pts]

The Entire Squad may take Meltabombs for 20pts

Drop Engineers are an Elite Choice for an Imperial Guard, Elysian Drop Troop, or Siege Regiment Army List

bump it up by 10-15pts just to be on the safe side, i know the base cost with equipment is around the 80pt mark but the special rules im not so sure about how much to value them. lol iron dicipline, thats an old one i loved to play in 4th ed. other then that, it looks good. seems like theyre just upgraded stormtroopers though, whats their BS/WS/LD/ATKS?

Engineer WS4 BS4 S3 T3 W1 I3 A2 Ld8 Sv4+
Watchmaster Ld9

What if you changed the fortifications rule so they can pick a piece of cover and increase its cover save by one? Not stackable. Similar to the MotF.

Otherwise looks good.

I wanted to keep it fluffy. The Engineers are supposed to be fortifying their drop site. Since they can deep strike straight into terrain without testing for dangerous terrain, I don't think it matters.

Oh, I see. I didn't understand it before, that makes more sense.
