I'm confused.
The Old Ones created the Eldar right? So does that mean they are the eldar gods? i mean it is Eldar MYTHOLOGY after all.
Are the gods, khaine, cegorach, Isha ETC just stylized romanticized versions of their true Old One creators?
I mean having a race of slimey reptilians as your creators must seem a bit weird to an enlightened graceful race like the Eldar.
They had to spice it up a bit.
But if that's the case what is the essence that charges the avatars of khaine?

The Eldar Gods were waging the war in Heaven along with the Old Ones and the Eldar.
There aren't any Old Ones about any more but Khaine, albeit in many peices, and Cegorach are still around.
Isha might be as well.

I am going to go with no. The timeline just doesn't match up, I don't think. The Necrons destroyed the Old Ones, who created the Eldar to defend them. The Eldar Gods weren't destroyed until Slaanesh was born, much, much later.
I suppose it is possible that a very small handful of Old Ones survived their races' destruction and took charge of the Eldar, but the Eldar gods seem to fractitious and petty to really have been the Old Ones.

No. The Eldar Gods resided in the Warp, and fought the Necrons first time round.

Eldar gods were created by the Eldar, not the other way around.
They're the manifestations of the Eldar's psychic presence.
Old Ones were a physical race that engineered the Eldar.

This is an actual rule in the actual rulebook. Quit whining about how you can imagine someone's army touching you in a bad place and play by the actual rules.
