A disagreement came up last weekend with our gaming group about feel no pain. Apparently one of our guys contacted GW and they told him AP3 would negate FNP for MEQ, AP4 negating Nobz etc. The way we read it in the rule book its implied AP1,AP2, Power Weapons, causes instant death, and attacks such as monstrous creature attacks. Its important to us since one guy loves running 2 big squads of Nobz, he's reconsidering if the painboy is worth it then?

Thus, After having thus successively taken each member of the community in its powerful grasp and fashioned him at will, the supreme power then extends its arm over the whole community. It covers the surface of society with a network of small complicated rules, minute and uniform, through which the most original minds and the most energetic characters cannot penetrate, to rise above the crowd. The will of man is not shattered, but softened, bent, and guided; men are seldom forced by it to act, but they are constantly restrained from acting. Such a power does not destroy, but it prevents existence; it does not tyrannize, but it compresses, enervates, extinguishes, and stupefies a people, till each nation is reduced to nothing better than a flock of timid and industrious animals, of which the government is the shepherd

As a general rule, if anyone says they 'contacted GW' they're probably wrong.

“Do not ask me to approach the battle meekly, to creep through the shadows, or to quietly slip on my foes in the dark. I am Rogal Dorn, Imperial Fist, Space Marine, Emperor’s Champion. Let my enemies cower at my advance and tremble at the sight of me.”

Mesopotamia. The Kingdom Where we Secretly Reign.

I'm dubious that anyone from GW actually said that.

If they did, they probably shouldn't be answering rules queries any more.
