I don't mean to be a jerk, but if you intend to put up a lengthy post like this, which will require an in-depth amount of reading, I might suggest composing it in Word (or a similar program) and correcting any spelling or grammar errors before posting it. The occasional error in a short post is inevitable, but when doing one of this length, it goes over better if it is written with a degree of professionalism.

How do I delete a post once its been put up?

Seriously, I did not intend to waste peoples time and that became an illegible rant. Please lock the thread, it would not bother me if the moderater did so. Can i just edit the text to delete the message?

There's a button on your post that says "edit" - it's pretty hard to miss. You can also double click your own posts to edit them on Dakka. If you're using Firefox or Chrome there's a built-in spellcheck anyway. Safari might have the same, and for all I know the newest Internet Explorer has it, but don't quote me on that. Just edit your post to make it legible, format it, etc.

Um, just want to get rid of it. Not edit it. Tried deleting all the text and it said 'place message'. Oh never mind I'll just leave the post.

I was actually enjoying reading that despite the spelling errors.

Aye. Don't get put off - why should it be a mistake to participate in discussions rather than just reading them?

I remember that there was a fluff question in there somewhere, but I didn't want to reply as it was already announced that the thread might "disappear" soon. Now I can't remember it anymore. :3
