I was wondering what people thought of them, they are extremely pointy/pricey for an armour 12 vehicle and have very few weapons but they're so pretty :(

I've seen some lists do very well with them, and other times I've blasted them out of the sky turn one. It's all in how you use them and a little bit of luck with making cover saves.

Yeah....ive had both experiences. They can cause all sorts of pain when they avoid fire and drop Troops and a Dread alll in your lines.....

but ive had my Broadsides blast it out of the sky turn 1 where he had to footslog through the battle....

I do not discriminate....all races are equally worthless....

Libby with shrouding and a flatout SR is very hard to shift - and GK generally want the charge, as theyre not a super high attacks / WS unit so are generally missing 50% of the time; adding another attack in is a requirement.

Unless youre running death cults, in which case getting the charge is just gravy

If you don't have first turn, 'ravens pretty much must be reserved. Once empty, they tend to attract less fire so moving them 12" on turn one and unloading the contents means it might well survive (shoot the 'raven or the disgorged contents?).

North of your position

It has a lot of anti-tank firepower.

I was wondering if anyone had had success with deep striking a stormraven next to a servo skull and blasing a few tanks that turn?

It's strange how there isn't much in the codex that actually uses a blast template, making the servo skulls pretty pointless

The servo skulls mess up scout and infiltrate as well, which is their main use...

Mind strike missiles + Servo Skulls = The ability to snipe out the most Common HQ's in the game (psykers)

Psyker Henchmen + Servo Skulls = S10 and AP1 that is almost guaranteed to hit that big tank over there. It helps make up for the LD8 Psy test you have to take.
