Hi folks!

I own one of the best games ever, WARHAMMER QUEST! It's great fun, but the boxed set only includes so many models you can fight, and heroes you can play as. Sure, proxying is fine, but not when your as obsessive as I am!

Anyway, I digress. Warhammer Quest includes a RolePlaying book, where you can fight all manner of creatures, from Dragons to Chaos Dwarfs. There are heroes too, ranging from a Barbarian to a Preist of Sigmar. So, This thread is where I'll post all of my models and equipment that I have so far, and any models I add to the collection. And the pictures are quite large...not sure what to do about that, but you've been warned!

Thanks for looking!

The Wizard:

The Dwarf:

The Elf:

(This picture somewhat disapoints me. In person, his eyes look fine, but for some reason, the camera angle makes him look really confused. That is not to say I paint eyes perfectly, that is something I'm trying really hard to perfect.)

The Barbarian:

I sure am glad the Isle of Blood came out, so I could get some stuff for cheap!

Great start! Always wanted to play warhammer quest myself, looks like a fun game to toss in your best looking models at

Any plans on doing their bases?

It is a blast. I never played a Role-Playing game (video games don't count) untill my friend introduced it to me. There are rumors about Warhammer Quest being re-printed this September, but they said that last year, so who knows.

Yes, and no. I thought about doing Cobblestone/Tiles, since Warhammer Quest takes place Primarily in Dungeons, but for some reason, I just don't really like basing; as in, I'm terrible at it. It's also another step to do, which slows down my painting time, as I'm already a slow painter as it is. But I am thinking about it

More pic spam! Mhuahahaha!

Here is a Giant rat. There are twelve of these buggers painted, but they all look the same, so use your imagination.

" border="0" />

Giant Spider! I went with a less exotic looking color scheme, since I felt it was more believable and creepy this way.

" border="0" />

Giant Bat! I'll be honest, not by best work. When you're painting 12 things at a time, you kind of lose steam. At least for me.

I do really like your style of painting. It's very cartoony (please take that as a compliment) in that your work appears to use flat colours painted very neatly with good use of washes.

Thank you, I WILL take that as a compliment :3

At first, I didn't really see what you were talking about, but upon closer inspection, you're right.

I am an uber novice high-lighter, and I've never even once tried blending. Painting within the lines and a wash is usually what I give something, because that's what I'm familiar with. Perhaps when I'm more confident, I'll give it a go.

Lol, I'm not that great at highlighting either, which is why I like what you've done

Games Workshop released character expansions to this game, and you can still find some on ebay. But they are pretty damn expensive, so I decided to use other GW models to proxy for the characters. They needed to be the same race, look similar, carry/use the same weapons, and of course, be cheaper. So these are the Characters that I've done so far. I'll post pics of the character pack models so you can get an idea of what they are based off of.

Chaos Warrior. He is actually from one of the character expansions, so no need to compare him to anything : P

" border="0" />

War Dancer (No, that is not Lillith Hesperax with Space Marine Combat blades, don't have any idea what you're talking about...)

" border="0" />

Comparison Image. When I was making the model, I had to pick a model that was wearing leather, could wield two blades, was an elf, and had a rediculous hair-do.

Pit Fighter This guy's fist spike was pretty easy and fun to make. The blade may or may not belong to a Lillith Hesperax...

" border="0" />

Comparison Image. I never liked the pit-fighter's Abbadon-do/hair thing.

Witch Hunter. I LOVE the confrontational pose of this model. Although he does not look very similar to the Warhammer Quest expansion model, he still has the correct wargear, a sword and pistol.

" border="0" />

Comparison Image. The differences here are pretty obvious.

Here comes a Necromancer! He is of course, from the Storm of Magic range. He is a pretty cool model, although I had to leave the VC spire/colar thing off.

" border="0" />

For some reason, camera really could not get his face right. Not an excuse, I promise.

Was that for aesthetic reasons or did you have trouble getting it on? I found it a bit fiddly myself. Looks good though

Asthetic. Not only did I not really like it (it was rather fiddley) I plan on using him as just a plain Necromancer, with no ties to the VC's in any way.
