Deciding that I desperately needed something to break up the monotony of painting my guardsmen, I grabbed the Assault on Black Reach set yesterday to add the marines to by old dusty DA army and to have a bit of fun with the Orks. After seeing Chrispy's ork speed painting guide, I was just itching to try it out.

They probably won't see much use but I have always had a soft spot for the green skins. Still wanted to theme them a little and given I forgot to buy a few paints that I had on my shopping list, I have made do with what I had laying around. So we have Da Red Koatz. Bit of fluff to work out down the track.

Only have one painted so far but I can see myself working in some Kannons and Lobbas quite nicely.





Not the worlds best painter by any means but after my first play with GW's washes, I am pretty pleased. Will go back at a later date and do some highlighting on the hide and fix up the spots that I overshot or overlooked.
