I saw that Dakka is lacking the Gamesday thread. So I decided to make it.
Who from dakka dakka will be going to chicago for the Gamesday? I know I am because Free stuff is always worth the 25$.

By the way Space Marine the Videogame is rumored to be playable there

Im going with a few of my friends. It should be a good time.

I had thought about it, but the more I thought about it the more I realized that the main draw for me to go was to see new releases and previews of future projects. Since GW's new policy is to keep everything under lock & key until the very last moment I see no reason to make the 14hr drive to Chicago.

If Games Day was still in Baltimore then I most definitely still go.

Main thing for me to go is they offer free terrain for 1 hour. So I go in with my dad and just build buildings or marines. And we expand our armies a ton

Three of my friends and I are going its always a great time.

I'm going to Australia Games Day though.

I shall be there. Can those of you who have been before explain how the Terrain Make & Take and the Paint & Takes work? What models do they typically use?

I'm taking a resets flight out tonight so I should be there bright and early tomorrow. Once GD is over, I'll crash at a hotel for the night and fly back Sunday.

Does anyone know if there's a camera/device policy at GD?

The times I went there was usually a sign saying "No cameras" but it wasn't really enforced, unless you were holding up the lines to see the pretty models.

I'll be there and I'm taking the boys with me. Should be an interesting day seeing the show through from my sons perspective.

One more thing, aside from the Golden Daemon, how many items can you enter in one of their contests? I assume they have a limit to keep one person from flooding or spamming entries?

I have to agree, if Games Day was still in Baltimore, I'd go. In Chicago though? No thanks.

Edit: I am at the convention center. Yes, I am way too early but I've nothing else to do anyway and the line has already started. Didn't get any real sleep on the flight so I'm already wiped. :(

FW didn't get the Mk III Boarding Marine in so everyone has to put in order forms. I skipped on everything else they were selling because I can just order through the Seattle Bunker later on.

I went ahead and entered my segwayized Killa Kan in the vehicle conversion contest. I don't expect to win but maybe it'll get a pic in the WD or something.

They're not checking very well so I've picked uo three of the LE Skaven Warlords. One goes in my army, the other to a friend who gave me a bunch of Brets I needed, and I haven't decided what to do with the third.

I'll be doing the various conversion events but will skip the painting because they use the same models that you get from demo games at your local GW store.

I left around an hour ago. Alot of fun i went to the THQ booth though most of the time, and also went to the conversion center. :Nod:

Nay. So, that's highly unlikely that we're getting the army book now.

I didn't see anything new at the GW store aside from the GD Skaven and the new WD. Everything else had already been released or was otherwise already available for ordering off the web. They didn't have any of the "web exclusive" items such as the finecast Dark Emissary. I sorta wished they would have had those. Whatever.

Fantasy Flight didn't have the new xpack for Talisman. They said they'll have it at Gencon but I'm not going.
