Looks good, but the miniatures which looked fantastic in the still image promos seem to have serious issues with mold lines and detail now that we see them from multiple angles.

It still amazes me that they're using so much PRE-gear of war 1 art and cutscenes for the board game when the third game is coming out. Every time you see a marcus without a patch of hair under his lip, its from a preview trailer released months before the original game. They definitely got some of the newer enemies from the second game though. The minis seem better than expected (still not professional metal/resin quality but much better than the normal plastic board game types) although I wish they had made Cole a bit bigger (and not holding a giant turkey leg frag grenade). Either way, this scratches an itch that hasn't been filled by Epic to date. As a side note, there also is a Gears of War clix set coming out from Wizkids soon but these minis blow their quality out of the water.
